Unique Services, a unit of SE-OC, takes delivery of a new Haas VF2-SS CNC Vertical Mill. The machine expands SE-OC’s ability to produce high precision fluid cells for life science and environmental sensing instruments.

Engineering For Kids of New Mexico, a unit of SE-OC, conducts two free workshops, Introduce a Girl to Engineering, at its Albuquerque Learning Center. A total of 48 girls receive a fun-filled introductory lesson in Aerospace Engineering.

SE-OC licenses Mastercam X7 from CNC Software, Inc. Mastercam is a state-of-the-art computer aided manufacturing (CAM) program that facilitates the creation of precise and efficient tool paths necessary to drive computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery. This program is particularly useful in multi-axis milling of complex 3D components, which are critical to SE-OC’s business activities in the life science and environmental sensing instrumentation markets.

Engineering For Kids of New Mexico, a unit of SE-OC, opens its first learning center in the American Square Shopping Center, 3301 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. EFKNM is a franchise-based business devoted to hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) enrichment programs for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years.

SE-OC signs a lease for storefront space at the American Square Shopping Center, 3301 Menaul Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, as our premier Engineering For Kids® program location. The lease is effective October 1, 2013. Following some internal renovations, we will begin offering classes, camps and parties from this location, which is immediately adjacent to OfficeMax.

Eta Diagnostics, Inc (ETAD) spun off as an independent C-Corporation. ETAD’s mission is to commercialize the massively parallel flow cytometry technology invented at the University of New Mexico’s Center for Biomedical Engineering.

SE-OC moves operations from our original location at 2926 Girard Blvd NE to 3100 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque. The new location allows us to more than double the working space of our Unique Services Machine Shop and provides us with space for growth of our current and future business interests, including incubating new high-tech ventures.

With a plan to help increase the number of children interested in technology fields, SE-OC acquires the New Mexico franchise rights for Engineering For Kids®. This program allows children ages 4 – 14 to learn science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts in a fun way.

SE-OC signs option agreement with STC.UNM for a Flow Cytometry venture developed by Prof. Steven Graves and Prof. Andrew Shreve at the University of New Mexico’s Center for Biomedical Engineering.
